Well it's that time of year again. Time for the ole family picnic. I know last year we had it in August and it was soooo hot. Well you'll be happy to know that this year it will be held on July 31st..... huh? At any rate this is the place to come to for all the scoop and info regarding the big event. So far, this is what is planned...... The date for the Phelan Picnic has been set for Saturday July 31 at Sarah Bolton Park (Beech Grove Park) at "The Hilltop Shelter". This shelter is on the south east end of the park. Kinda by its self, it has its own restrooms, shelter, playground equipment, swings, slides and a sand volleyball court all in very close proximity to the shelter under a canopy of huge trees, starting at 2:00 or 2:30 and eating around 3:30 or 4:00.
